# Supported Platforms

> CPUs, GPUs, and operating systems that NVIDIA supports for confidential virtual machines.

NVIDIA supports only the combinations of hardware and software in the following tables.
For supported CUDA versions and NVIDIA GPU firmware, refer to the [Secure AI Compatibility Matrix](https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/data-center/solutions/confidential-computing/secure-ai-compatibility-matrix/).

## Hardware Requirements

* CPU:
  * Intel CPUs with Intel Trust Domain Extensions (TDX) support, such as Emerald Rapids and Granite Rapids.
  * AMD CPUs with Secure Encrypted Virtualization-Secure Nested Paging (SEV-SNP) support, such as Milan (7xx3), Genoa (9xx4), and Turin.
* GPU: NVIDIA Hopper or Blackwell GPUs.
* Motherboard: NVIDIA recommends a motherboard that you can configure with Secure Boot and with TDX or SEV-SNP.
