Xid errors are driver errors that are logged to the system error log. Refer to the document Understanding XID Errors (http://docs.nvidia.com/deploy/xid-errors/index.html) for general information on Xids.
There are three main Xids related to dynamic page retirement. These are listed below, along with how they are entered in the system log.
XID 48: A DBE has occurred.
System log entry –
"XID 48 An uncorrectable double bit error (DBE) has been detected on GPU (<id>)"
XID 63: A page has successfully been retired.
System log entry –
"XID 63 Dynamic Page Retirement: New retired page, reload the driver to activate. (<address>)"
XID 64: A page has failed retirement due to a system-level issue that prevented the driver from writing to the InfoROM. This could be due to a driver or GPU issue, or the page retirement table could be full.
System log entry –
"XID 64 Dynamic Page Retirement: Fatal error, unable to retire page (<address>)"
