NVIDIA ShadowWorks (Adv. Soft Shadows) 2.1.

NVIDIA Advanced Soft Shadows provides a simple interface for adding high quality efficient shadows to games. It improves on PCSS to reach new levels of quality and performance, with the ability to render cascaded shadow maps, and multiple spot lights.

New in release 2.1

  • Full support for MSAA shadow buffers, which can be run at sample frequency. MSAA mode also supports a user supplied stencil mask for complex pixels.
  • Dithering of the PCSS+ blocker and filter radii, has been introduced to reduce banding artifacts for large light sizes.
  • Interface has been converted to C++
