# Installation and Setup

## Prerequisites

Before setting up the HSB Native Latency Measurement Tool, ensure you have completed the standard Holoscan Sensor Bridge setup as described in the [HSB documentation](https://docs.nvidia.com/holoscan/sensor-bridge/latest/index.html).

## Step 1: Complete HSB Base Setup

Follow the [HSB documentation](https://docs.nvidia.com/holoscan/sensor-bridge/latest/index.html) for:

1. **Device Setup** - Install HSB hardware and verify FPGA detection
2. **Host Setup** - Configure the host system with required drivers and dependencies
3. **Build HSB Container** - Set up the Holoscan Sensor Bridge demo container
4. **Verify Examples** - Run basic HSB examples (IMX274 player, VB1940 player) to confirm functionality

## Step 2: Hardware Configuration for Latency Measurement

Configure the GPIO connections with LED and photodetector as shown in [Hardware Component Schematics](/holoscan/sensor-bridge-e2e-latency-tool/introduction/getting-started#hardware-component-schematics).
