# hololink::emulation::IPAddress_to_string

> Convert an IPAddress object to its string representation.

Convert an [IPAddress](/holoscan/sensor-bridge/2-7/api-reference/emulation-api/typedefs/ipaddress) object to its string representation.

python (use [IPAddress](/holoscan/sensor-bridge/2-7/api-reference/emulation-api/typedefs/ipaddress) object **str**() method)

`def __str__(self: hemu.IPAddress) -> str`

**Returns:** String representation of the IP address
