NVIDIA® Tegra® Linux Driver Package (L4T) provides the Linux kernel, bootloader, NVIDIA drivers, flashing utilities, sample filesystem, and more for the Jetson platform. This Development Guide covers use of L4T with your Jetson Developer Kit.

The NVIDIA® SDK Manager automates the installation of L4T and the JetPack SDK, including libraries, APIs, samples, and documentation. You can download JetPack and the JetPack Installation Guide from the Jetson Download Center. Alternatively, see the Quick Install Guide topic of this document for instructions to flash your developer kit with bootloader and filesystem, but not other JetPack components.

You can customize L4T software to fit the needs of your project. By following the Jetson Nano Platform Adaptation and Bring-Up Guide, the Jetson AGX Xavier Platform Adaptation and Bring-Up Guide, or the Jetson TX2 Platform Adaptation and Bring-Up Guide you can optimize your use of the complete Jetson product feature set and port L4T from the Jetson Developer Kit to other hardware platforms incorporating the Jetson module.
