# Create Evaluator Result

POST http://localhost:8080/apis/intake/v2/workspaces/{workspace}/evaluator-results
Content-Type: application/json

Reference: https://docs.nvidia.com/nemo-helix/documentation/reference/api-reference/evaluator-results/create-evaluator-result-apis-intake-v-2-workspaces-workspace-evaluator-results-post

## Request

### Path parameters

- `workspace` (string, required)

### Body (application/json)

This endpoint expects an EvaluatorResultInput.

- `span_id` (string, required) — Target span id. Not validated against existing spans (loose target policy).
- `session_id` (string, required) — Session id the target span belongs to. Denormalized so session-scoped reads stay fast.
- `name` (string, required) — Evaluator / metric identity (e.g. 'faithfulness/v1').
- `data_type` (enum, required) — Discriminator for which of value / string_value carries the payload.
  - Allowed values: `NUMERIC`, `CATEGORICAL`, `BOOLEAN`, `TEXT`
- `value` (double, optional) — Numeric value. Required when data_type is NUMERIC or BOOLEAN (0|1).
- `string_value` (string, optional) — String value. Required when data_type is CATEGORICAL or TEXT.
- `status` (enum, optional, default: SCORED) — SCORED when the evaluator produced a value; FAILED when it ran but could not score this target (no value or string_value; put the reason in `comment`). Rollups count a FAILED result as a failed attempt instead of inferring failure from a missing row.
  - Allowed values: `SCORED`, `FAILED`
- `comment` (string, optional) — Free-text rationale or explanation.

## Response

### 201

Successful Response

- `evaluator_result_id` (string, required)
- `span_id` (string, required)
- `session_id` (string, required)
- `workspace` (string, required)
- `name` (string, required)
- `data_type` (enum, required)
  - Allowed values: `NUMERIC`, `CATEGORICAL`, `BOOLEAN`, `TEXT`
- `created_at` (datetime, required)
- `ingested_at` (datetime, required)
- `value` (double, optional)
- `string_value` (string, optional)
- `status` (enum, optional, default: SCORED) — Whether the evaluator produced a value for its target. A FAILED result carries no value: the evaluator ran and could not score (judge unreachable, unparseable output, errored trial). Rollups count it as a failed attempt rather than inferring failure from the absence of a row.
  - Allowed values: `SCORED`, `FAILED`
- `comment` (string, optional)
- `created_by` (string, optional)

## Errors

### 422 Unprocessable Entity Error

Validation Error

- `detail` (list of ValidationError, optional)

## Types

### ValidationError

- `loc` (list of ValidationErrorLocItems, required)
- `msg` (string, required)
- `type` (string, required)
- `input` (any, optional)
- `ctx` (map from string to any, optional)

### ValidationErrorLocItems

- string
- integer
