# Get Secret

GET http://localhost:8080/apis/secrets/v2/workspaces/{workspace}/secrets/{name}

Retrieve a secret by its name.

### 200

Successful Response

- `name` (string, required) — The name of the secret
- `workspace` (string, required) — The workspace ID the secret belongs to
- `description` (string, optional) — An optional description of the secret
- `created_at` (datetime, optional)
- `updated_at` (datetime, optional)

## Errors

### 404 Not Found Error

Secret not found

- `detail` (string, required) — A human-readable error message describing what went wrong.

### 422 Unprocessable Entity Error
