# Support Matrix

NVIDIA NIM for Batched Molecular Dynamics supports the following hardware and software.

## CPU

NIM for BMD requires an x86 processor. A modern processor is recommended for optimal performance.

## Models

Refer to [Supported Models](/nim/alchemi/alchemi-bmd/overview#supported-models) for the full list of supported model architectures, specific model variants, and sourcing details.

## Supported Hardware

The following table lists the supported and tested GPUs:

### Minimum requirements

- 8 GB GPU memory
- CUDA compute capability >= 8.0

Any NVIDIA GPU meeting these requirements should work. Performance varies depending on the GPU model. Refer to [Performance](/nim/alchemi/alchemi-bmd/performance) for benchmark results on specific GPUs.

## Software

### NVIDIA Driver

Refer to the [Frameworks Support Matrix](https://docs.nvidia.com/deeplearning/frameworks/support-matrix/index.html) for NVIDIA driver support. Ensure that the latest compatible NVIDIA driver is installed on your system before launching NIM containers.

### NVIDIA Container Toolkit
