Limitations

The following limitations apply to VSR NIM ST 2110 deployments in this release.

Limitation	Details
Video only	The current ST 2110 media function path supports video input and output. Audio input and output are not supported.
Single input and output	The current operator CRD supports one video input and one video output.
YCbCr 4:2:0	YCbCr 4:2:0 is not supported end-to-end in the current ST 2110 workflow.
NMOS dependencies	NMOS mode requires an NMOS registry and controller to activate connections.
Static ST 2110 alignment	Static mode requires sender, VSR NIM, and receiver SDP and transport settings to be aligned manually or through Helm values.
Metrics endpoint	The VSR NIM ST 2110 media function image in this release does not currently expose /metrics; metrics settings add scrape annotations only.
Scheduler dependency	Production Holoscan for Media clusters commonly use topo-aware-scheduler; development clusters might need scheduler overrides.
Network attachment scope	NetworkAttachmentDefinition resources are namespace-scoped and must exist in the workload namespace.
