This chapter will walk through frame debugging a Vulkan application with NVIDIA Nsight.

Overview

Unlike OpenGL and Direct3D applications, NVIDIA Nsight’s Vulkan support does not currently have a HUD. As such, all interaction with the debugger must be initiated within the NVIDIA Nsight toolbar menu.

If the Vulkan debugger has successfully been injected into the application, you will see a small overlay in the top right corner for a few seconds when the application first launches.
