# Can I use an external model to embed a column?

> Use precomputed vectors as Kumo Engine features

Yes. Compute the embeddings before ingestion and store one fixed-length vector of floating-point values per row. Assign the column `stype="sequence"` and use the `NumericalList` encoder.
