# Can batch prediction override RANK TOP K?

> Set the number of returned candidates when scoring

Yes. Set `num_classes_to_return` in `trainer.predict()` to change the number of candidates returned per population row without retraining.

For example, a model trained with `RANK TOP 10` can return up to 100 candidates with `num_classes_to_return=100`. Link prediction requires an explicit integer from 1 to 500. Results can contain fewer candidates when fewer are available.
