Note
Because software upgrades are cumulative, your systems always receive the most recent versions of all installed components. The packages in the repositories might be newer than the current DGX OS release. Carefully review release information and advisories for all relevant upgrades.
Current Software Versions#
DGX OS 8.1.0 incorporates BaseOS 10, an environment defined by the R615 GPU driver branch and NVIDIA DOCA 3.3.0 (OpenFabrics Enterprise Distribution). The following table shows the current version information of the software packages provided in the NVIDIA and Ubuntu repositories.

A package upgrade can update software component versions, the Ubuntu 26.04 LTS release, and the Ubuntu kernel, depending on when you run the upgrade. For information about LTS software versions for related networking components, refer to the Networking Long-Term Support Releases page.
Important
This release includes the following updates:
Ubuntu ConnectX drivers and the DOCA-OFED stack.
Consider these updates and any effect they might have on your applications. For example, some DOCA-OFED-dependent applications can be affected.
As a best practice, upgrade select systems and verify that your applications work as expected before you deploy additional systems.

Upgrades from Ubuntu 24.04 to Ubuntu 26.04 are not supported.
DGX OS 8.1.0 supports only the NVIDIA DGX™ Vera Rubin NVL72 system (preproduction).
