NVIDIA® Tegra® Linux Driver Package (L4T) provides the Linux kernel, boot loader, NVIDIA drivers, flashing utilities, sample filesystem, and more for the Jetson platform. This Development Guide covers use of L4T with your Jetson Developer Kit.

The JetPack installer automates the installation of L4T and other JetPack components, including libraries, APIs, samples, and documentation. You can download the installer from the Jetson Download Center:

Please note that the installer for JetPack 3.3 has not been updated to use L4T 28.3. You must flash your developer kit with L4T 28.3 from the command line by following the instructions found in the topic Quick Install Guide. After that, you can install additional JetPack components using the JetPack 3.3 installer as usual.

You can customize L4T software to fit the needs of your project. You can optimize your use of the complete Jetson product feature set, and port L4T from the Jetson Developer Kit to other hardware platforms incorporating the Jetson module, by following the instructions in the Jetson AGX Xavier Platform Adaptation and Bring-Up Guide.
