Attach parts D and E (x2 of each) to the switch. Push the switch chassis' pins through the slider key holes, until locking occurs. Pay attention to the rack's type.

Install 8 cage nuts (B) in the desired 1U slots of the rack.

Do not tighten the screws yet.

Tighten all M6 screws (C) with a torque of 4.5±0.5.

Optional - Using a cable retainer:

Insert the retainer anchor into the designated slot above the power cord inlet.

To secure the power cord inside the retainer, press the small tab on the retainer strip to loosen the loop.

* It may take up to five minutes to turn on the system. If the System Status LED shows amber after five minutes, unplug the system and contact your NVIDIA representative.

** Certain systems have a single management port.

  4. Initial configuration

    1. Onyx (MLNX-OS): Go through the configuration wizard. For further information, please refer to https://docs.nvidia.com/networking/software/switch-software/index.html.

    2. ONIE: Please refer to the ONIE User Manual - https://docs.nvidia.com/networking/software/switch-software/index.html.

    3. Cumulus: By default, the MGMT port will acquire the IP from DHCP. You can cross reference the MAC of the switch with your DHCP server (MAC can be found on switch label) or using "ifconfig eth0" (when using MGMT0). For further information, refer to https://docs.nvidia.com/networking-ethernet-software/cumulus-linux/.
