Resolved Issues#

  • NVPL RAND now returns NVPL_RAND_STATUS_LENGTH_NOT_MULTIPLE error if requesting odd number of random numbers for APIs using Box-Muller transformation. This includes using nvplRandGenerateNormal() and nvplRandGenerateNormalDouble() with all pseudorandom generators except MT19937, as well as using nvplRandGenerateDistribution() and nvplRandGenerateDistributionDouble() with normal and lognormal distribution configuration and all pseudorandom generators except MT19937.

Resolved Issues#

  • NVPL RAND no longer produces incorrect results for XORWOW, MRG32K3A, and Philox random number generators when used with nvplRandOrdering.NVPL_RAND_ORDERING_CURAND_LEGACY ordering and uniform, normal, log-normal, or Poisson distributions.

  • Fixed issue with multi-threaded nvplRandRngType.NVPL_RAND_RNG_PSEUDO_PCG RNG generating incorrect results when used with nvplRandGenerateLongLong().
