1. System Requirements

Category Requirement

Host machine

  • Ubuntu Desktop 16.04, 18.04, and 20.04 on x86_64 system

  • CentOS 7.6, 8.0, and 8.2 on x86_64

     Note:

Please refer to the system requirements for the specific DRIVE, Jetson, Clara AGX, Rivermax, DOCA, or Ethernet Switch product release you are installing. While SDK Manager supports the above host operating systems, you need to verify the SDK package supports the host OS; the requirements are set by the SDK package you are installing.

  • Working internet connection

Memory

8GB

Free disk space

NVIDIA DRIVE: A minimum of 40GB free disk space on the system volume is needed for each full (host and target) deployed SDK version.

NVIDIA Jetson / Clara AGX: A minimum of 25GB free disk space on the system volume is needed for each full (host and target) deployed SDK version.

Screen resolution

Screen resolution equal or larger than 1440x900 (1052x411) is recommended for GUI mode.

1.1. Target Device

The following development platforms are supported with NVIDIA SDK Manager.

Note that the supported target hardware may vary, depending on the version of the target operating system you wish to install.

1.2. Additional Hardware

  Product   Hardware Requirements

 DRIVE

  • A2A USB 2.0 cable to connect the Linux host to the target

 Jetson / Clara AGX
 Clara AGX
  • An NVIDIA Quadro® or Tesla® GPU that supports CUDA 11.1 is required.

  • If training a new model from a data set, the GPU must have at least 8GB of GDDR memory.

 Rivermax

 DOCA

  • Cables provided with your DPU package to the NC-SI UART and USB interfaces of the DPU/DPU Controller.

1.3. DRIVE Users: Graphics Driver

DRIVE releases will support graphics drivers for x86_64 host development on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS workstations in either the following 2 forms:

  1. Standard .run file installers (GeForce/Quadro GPUs) from the LINUX AMD64 DISPLAY DRIVER ARCHIVE. These drivers are recommended for general development use on DRIVE OS supported GPU's.

  2. Tesla GPUs recommended drivers from the NVIDIA CUDA public repository. TR drivers support all NVIDIA GPUs, including Tesla products, as well GeForce/Quadro GPUs. TR drivers are installed from apt-get from NVIDIA's online Debian repository and will be able to receive updates up to 4 times a year for each release.

To see the most current graphics driver for the version of the CUDA toolkit you are installing, see Linux AMD64 Display Driver Archive.

1.4. DRIVE OS QNX Users

DRIVE OS QNX SDKs require QNX SDP. For specific installation instructions, please refer to the quickstart guide and release notes for the DRIVE OS QNX product you are installing.
