There are four main sources for samples that you can use with the NVIDIA Nsight tools:

• The samples that ship with the NVIDIA® Nsight™ Visual Studio Edition tools (Nsight > Help > Samples);
• NVIDIA CUDA SDK, available from the NVIDIA web site;
• NVIDIA Direct3D SDK 11, available from the NVIDIA web site;
• Microsoft® DirectX® SDK, available from the Microsoft web site.

The samples that ship with NVIDIA Nsight are available as a ZIP file. There are three ways to access them:

1. Go to the Nsight menu > Help > Samples. From here, you can open the ZIP file and choose a location to extract the files.
2. Go to the Start menu > All Programs > NVIDIA Corporation > Nsight Visual Studio Edition 4.7 > Browse NVIDIA Nsight Code Samples.
3. Navigate to the NVIDIA Nsight installation directory and unzip the files from there.
   
   On a 32-bit system:
   

   C:\Program Files\NVIDIA Corporation\Nsight Visual Studio Edition 4.7\Host\Samples 

   
   On a 64-bit system:
   

   C:\Program  Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\Nsight Visual Studio Edition 4.7\Host\Samples

Within the NVIDIA Nsight samples directory, there are separate sub-folders for CUDA, Graphics, and NVTX samples, so you are able to choose whichever would be applicable to your needs.
