NVIDIA Enterprise Licensing#

NVIDIA Enterprise Licensing#

NVIDIA Enterprise software is licensed on a per-GPU basis. A software license is required for every GPU installed on the server or workstation that will host any software that is included with NVIDIA Enterprise. For component cards that contain more than one GPU on the board, a license is required for each individual GPU.

NVIDIA Enterprise software can be purchased by enterprises as a subscription, on a consumption basis via cloud marketplaces and as a perpetual license with required 5-year support services. For subscription and cloud consumption licenses, Business Standard support is included with the annual license cost. Enterprises can upgrade to Business Critical support for an additional cost.

The subscription and consumption offerings are an affordable option that allows IT departments to better manage license volume flexibility. NVIDIA Enterprise software purchased with a subscription includes support services for the duration of the software’s subscription license.

Subscription License#

Enterprise subscriptions are active for the stated length of the subscription, after which it must be renewed to remain active. The subscription includes the software license and production level support services throughout the subscription.

A perpetual enterprise license allows for use of the software indefinitely and includes five-year Business Standard Support services. For this license, support services can be renewed annually after the initial subscription expires.

For compute environments or instances without NVIDIA GPUs, NVIDIA requires one NVIDIA Enterprise subscription or license per server or instance, independent of the number of CPUs.

Please refer to the NVIDIA Enterprise Support and Services User Guide for detailed information on using NVIDIA Enterprise Support and Services or contact NVIDIA Enterprise Support.

Selected NVIDIA GPUs Include NVIDIA Enterprise#

Each NVIDIA H100 PCIe or NVL Tensor Core GPU includes a five-year NVIDIA Enterprise subscription. Software activation required.

Each NVIDIA A800 40GB Active GPU includes a three-year NVIDIA Enterprise subscription. Software activation required.

Each NVIDIA H200 NVL Tensor Core GPU includes a five-year NVIDIA Enterprise subscription. Software activation required.

NVIDIA Enterprise software can be installed on the NVIDIA Certified Systems in which the GPUs are installed, but not on a different server or instance.

The NVIDIA Enterprise subscription can be activated with the serial number of selected GPUs. Learn more about the activation process here.

The start date for each NVIDIA Enterprise subscription included with selected GPUs is based on the ship date of the GPU board to the OEM partner, plus 90 days to account for integration and final delivery to the customer site. The start date of the NVIDIA Enterprise subscription cannot be modified, as it is tied to the specific card.

NVIDIA DGX Software Bundle & NVIDIA AI Enterprise#

NVIDIA Enterprise is included in the NVIDIA DGX software bundle for NVIDIA DGX systems using the NVIDIA Hopper architecture. This enables users to streamline their AI development with a full-stack solution and enterprise support. NVIDIA Enterprise licenses need to be purchased separately for NVIDIA DGX systems using the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture.

Cloud Deployment of NVIDIA Enterprise#

Cloud deployment of NVIDIA Enterprise is available on an on-demand basis in the AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud marketplaces. NVIDIA Enterprise in cloud marketplaces is priced per GPU per hour on an on-demand/pay-as-you-go basis. Custom pricing can be provided for a committed term and usage via a private offer (for further details, please visit the marketplace pages).

The NVIDIA Enterprise license, purchased via an NVIDIA NPN partner, also enables organizations to deploy and run NVIDIA AI Enterprise software and Omniverse Enterprise software as a Bring Your Own License (BYOL) on certified cloud providers, such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. When NVIDIA Enterprise is deployed in a cloud instance as BYOL, one NVIDIA Enterprise subscription license is required for each GPU on which NVIDIA AI Enterprise or Omniverse Enterprise runs. If the instance does not have a GPU, one NVIDIA Enterprise subscription license is required for each instance.
