Ada Lovelace Architecture vGPU Types#

The NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture combines exceptional graphics performance with powerful compute capabilities for AI inference, creative workflows, and professional visualization. Built on NVIDIA’s advanced process technology, Ada Lovelace GPUs deliver significant performance improvements with third-generation RT Cores, fourth-generation Tensor Cores, and enhanced CUDA cores.

Ada Lovelace excels in AI-powered applications including inference workloads, video processing, 3D rendering, and virtual workstations. With support for time-sliced vGPU configurations, the architecture enables efficient multi-tenant GPU sharing for enterprise deployments requiring both graphics and compute acceleration.

Ada Lovelace GPU Architecture#

Physical GPUs per board: 1

The maximum number of vGPUs per board is the product of the maximum number of vGPUs per GPU and the number of physical GPUs per board.

Required license edition: NVIDIA AI Enterprise

Intended use cases:

  • vGPUs with more than 40 GB of framebuffer: Training Workloads

  • vGPUs with 40 GB of framebuffer: Inference Workloads

These vGPU types support a single display with a fixed maximum resolution.
