Blackwell Architecture vGPU Types#

The NVIDIA Blackwell architecture represents the latest generation of GPU technology, delivering unprecedented performance for AI training and inference workloads. Blackwell GPUs feature advanced Multi-Instance GPU (MIG) capabilities and support both MIG-backed and time-sliced vGPU configurations, enabling flexible resource allocation and optimal GPU utilization in virtualized environments.

Key features include high-bandwidth memory, enhanced tensor cores, and support for large language models and generative AI applications. The architecture is designed for enterprise AI deployments requiring maximum performance, scalability, and efficiency.

MIG-Backed and Time-Sliced NVIDIA vGPU for Compute#

Physical GPUs per board: 1

The maximum number of vGPUs per board is the product of the maximum number of vGPUs per GPU and the number of physical GPUs per board.
