Ada Lovelace Architecture vGPU Types#

NVIDIA Ada Lovelace GPUs combine third-generation RT Cores, fourth-generation Tensor Cores, and CUDA cores for AI inference, media, 3D content, and professional graphics in VMs.

This reference lists time-sliced NVIDIA vGPU types only (no MIG-backed profiles) for the Ada Lovelace boards below. Tables specify framebuffer per vGPU type, maximum vGPUs per GPU in equal-size and mixed-size modes, and display resolution limits.

Ada Lovelace GPU Architecture#

Physical GPUs per board: 1

The maximum number of vGPUs per board is the product of the maximum number of vGPUs per GPU and the number of physical GPUs per board.

Required license edition: NVIDIA AI Enterprise

Intended use cases:

  • vGPUs with more than 40 GB of framebuffer: Training Workloads

  • vGPUs with 40 GB of framebuffer: Inference Workloads

These vGPU types support a single display with a fixed maximum resolution.
