Placing P3407 into and out of Force Recovery Mode
Before flashing DRIVE PX 2 P3407, you must use the AURIX console to put it into Force Recovery mode. Similarly, before resuming operation, you must use the AURIX console to remove it from Force Recovery mode.
To place DRIVE PX 2 P3407 in Force Recovery mode using the AURIX console
1. Connect the micro-USB cable from DRIVE PX 2 (P3407) to the Ubuntu host.
Follow the steps in Setting Up DRIVE PX 2 AutoCruise (P3407).
2. Power on DRIVE PX 2 (P3407) using the steps in To power on the DRIVE PX platform topic in Powering on the Device.
3. Start a terminal window on the host system, for example using Minicom, and connect to the AURIX port.
4. Verify that you configured Minicom with the correct ttyUSB port.
/dev/ttyUSB1 is the serial port for AURIX on the Ubuntu host system, assuming that no other USB serial adapter is connected.
5. At the AURIX display console, enter the following command to put the device into recovery mode.
tegrarecovery on
tegrareset
To place DRIVE PX 2 P3407 in Force Recovery mode using the recovery switch
1. Connect the Micro-USB cable from DRIVE PX 2 (P3407) to the Ubuntu host.
2. Power on DRIVE PX 2 (P3407) by pressing the recovery switch to the on position.
To remove DRIVE PX 2 P3407 from Force Recovery mode
At the AURIX display console, enter the following commands to remove Tegra A or Tegra B from recovery mode.
tegrarecovery off
tegrareset
To remove DRIVE PX 2 P3407 from Force Recovery mode using the recovery switch
1. Connect the Micro-USB cable from DRIVE PX 2 (P3407) to the Ubuntu host.
2. Change the recovery switch to the off position.
