Use level1 for a balanced mix of chart-reading questions. Use level2 to target compound visual conditions, rank-N selection, restricted ranges, multi-panel scans, exclusions, topology cues, trend matching, and cross-panel references. The difficulty mode skips charts that cannot support at least two of these features.
The seed dataset must contain one chart per row in an image_url column, for example {"id": "figure-1", "image_url": "file:///absolute/path/figure.png"}. HTTP(S) URLs are also supported. For a local file URL, the vLLM server must see the same absolute path and its --allowed-local-media-path must include the chart directory. This URL-mode recipe does not accept raw base64 image data.
