Understand Exporter Versions

A DCGM Exporter release tag has the form <dcgm-version>-<dcgm-exporter-version>. The first version identifies the paired DCGM release; the second identifies the exporter release. Container image tags can append an image variant.

Read both release histories when evaluating an exporter upgrade: the DCGM notes describe changes in the underlying management and telemetry platform, while the exporter notes describe changes in Prometheus exposition, configuration, deployment artifacts, and workload metadata.
