Installing ASIP Programmer#
After installing the PVA SDK as described in Installation,
obtain the ASIP local installer pva-sdk-2.10-local-asip_2.10.1_all.deb from
your NVIDIA representative, place it in the current directory, then run:
sudo apt install -y ./pva-sdk-2.10-local-asip_2.10.1_all.deb
sudo apt update
sudo apt install -y pva-sdk-2.10-vpu-dev-asip pva-sdk-2.10-native-dev pva-sdk-2.10-l4t-doip-asip
sudo apt remove --purge -y pva-sdk-local-asip
rm -f pva-sdk-2.10-local-asip_2.10.1_all.deb
sudo apt update
Licensing#
Configure the license mechanism supplied with your ASIP Programmer access.
FlexLM configurations commonly use SNPSLMD_LICENSE_FILE or
LM_LICENSE_FILE; consult the materials supplied with the package.
The fixed VPU SDK packages install the additional terms through asip-docs under
/opt/nvidia/pva-sdk-2.10/share/licenses/asip. The ASIP Programmer package also installs them in
the licenses directory beneath its own installation prefix.
Compiler Selection#
The PVA SDK build system prefers ASIP Programmer when a valid installation is detected. Set
PVA_USE_NVVPU=ON to force NVVPU while ASIP Programmer is installed:
cmake -DPVA_USE_NVVPU=ON ..
ASIP Programmer is required for safety builds. The PVA SDK build system rejects
configurations that combine PVA_SAFETY=ON with PVA_USE_NVVPU=ON.
