This document provides update guidance for an NVIDIA DGX BasePOD or SuperPOD customer to get the most recent versions, fixes, improvements, and new features of the various components.

NVIDIA Base Command Manager (BCM) streamlines cluster provisioning, workload management, and infrastructure monitoring. It provides all the tools you need to deploy and manage an AI data center. NVIDIA DGX BasePOD / SuperPOD is implemented with Base Command Manager and depending on the installation timelines different versions may have been deployed on the cluster.

To provide the best SuperPOD experience, we release DGX SuperPOD update recipes on a regular cadence. Customers can check the latest updates, changes and make plans to update or upgrade packages.

It’s important to understand the differences between the Update and Upgrade process with regard to the BCM software version:

• Update – Minor Version Updates: SW Packages updates via BCM – from BCM 10.x to BCM 10.y where no major version change is required.

• Upgrade – Major Version Upgrade: For example, upgrading cluster from BCM 9 to BCM 10 where a major version change is required.
