    Important

Since we are not using PCI Passthrough, the host compatibility check no longer complains about backing devices attached to the VM. This allows us to proceed with the vMotion steps!

  5. No changes are required at the storage step. Click Next to continue.

  9. After clicking finish and returning to the VM summary tab, watch the Recent Tasks in the bottom pane to see the vMotion task complete. After the vMotion is complete, confirm that the VM is associated with the host that we picked in the previous migration step.

    Note

You may see this UPT alert temporarily after vMotion is initiated to the alternate host. Once the VM is fully migrated, the alert will disappear.
