Daytona Access

Get a sandbox-service key from Daytona. It is separate from model and image-registry credentials.

Hosted service

  1. Sign in to the Daytona dashboard under the organization approved for your workload; request membership if needed.
  2. Create an API key with an appropriate expiry and permissions. Sandbox creation/cleanup needs write:sandboxes and delete:sandboxes; snapshot operations need additional permissions.
  3. Check capacity and request limits and the organization’s spending budget before choosing concurrency.
  4. Set DAYTONA_API_KEY in the host environment through your secret manager. Keep it out of source control and logs.

Daytona scopes sandbox isolation at the organization level. Access to running sandboxes is shared across API-key resource scopes within it; see the permissions guidance.
