Using standard OS framework and iovctl(8) utility, virtual functions (VFs) can be created and destroyed by the host. VFs use the same driver as the physical functions (PFs), and support Ethernet protocol with the same acceleration functions as the PFs. VFs also provide RoCE support.
The following optional parameters are accepted by the driver.
Parameter |
Description |
mac-addr |
MAC address assigned to the port. If not specified, a randomized MAC address is assigned. |
node-guid |
Node GUID, used for RoCE |
port-guid |
Port GUID, used for RoCE |
Warning
SR-IOV support is preliminary. Not all configuration parameters supported by the hardware are exposed in this version of the driver.
