This chapter explains how to synchronize a clock on the network card (PHC) to an external reference clock that's available over the network. It also explains how to relay this information to other network nodes (in case of a Boundary Clock) or how to have PHC act as source of time for other nodes on the network (i.e., run a leader clock).
