NVIDIA IGX Platform Overview#
The NVIDIA IGX family is an enterprise-grade edge AI platform designed for safety-critical, real-time applications in industrial, medical, and robotics environments. It combines high-performance compute, advanced functional safety, and long-term software support, enabling developers to deploy deterministic, low-latency AI workloads at the edge.
NVIDIA IGX Thor Family#
The NVIDIA IGX Thor family consists of the following production SKUs:
IGX T5000#
IGX T5000 is a production-ready IGX Thor module that integrates a Blackwell-architecture iGPU, a 14-core Arm Neoverse CPU, dedicated accelerators, and flexible I/O. This makes it suitable for custom carrier-board designs and deeply embedded systems that require deterministic control and real-time AI. IGX T5000 is form-factor compatible and pin-compatible with NVIDIA Jetson T5000. For details on migrating existing designs, refer to the migration guide between NVIDIA Jetson T5000 and IGX T5000.
IGX T7000#
The NVIDIA IGX T7000 is a high-performance AI platform featuring the NVIDIA IGX T7000 board kit with Blackwell GPU architecture and Arm Neoverse V3AE CPU. Purpose-built for industrial and medical environments, it delivers enterprise-grade performance, security, and functional safety with a 10-year lifecycle.
The NVIDIA IGX T7000 board kit is a high-performance AI platform featuring the NVIDIA IGX T7000 board kit with Blackwell GPU architecture and Arm Neoverse V3AE CPU.
IGX T7000 can be configured with NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 or NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 Blackwell-based dGPUs, providing high FP4 AI performance for complex, multi-sensor, multi-model workloads. This makes it well suited for physical AI agents, including collaborative robots, humanoids, and real-time medical imaging systems that require both high compute and strict safety guarantees.
Note
NVIDIA RTX PRO 5000 is not supported in the current release. Support for RTX PRO 5000 will be available in a subsequent release.
NVIDIA IGX Thor Developer Kits#
There are two developer kits available for the IGX Thor platform:
IGX Thor Developer Kit#
The IGX Thor Developer Kit is based on IGX T7000 and includes an NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000 dGPU. This developer kit is ideal for developing applications targeting IGX T7000-based designs that require high-bandwidth networking, additional dGPU compute, and functional safety.
IGX Thor Developer Kit Mini#
The IGX Thor Developer Kit Mini is based on IGX T5000 and includes a safety MCU. This kit is ideal if you are developing applications for IGX T5000-based designs and require functional safety.
