Sensor Characterization Mode#

Used for ISP tuning and sensor validation. Validates sensor characteristics, tests linearity of pixel values (RGB) with increasing gain or exposure time, and performs conformance testing.

SetSensorCharMode() must:

  • Disable on-chip auto-exposure (if applied).

  • Disable sensor compression / companding (if applied).

  • Disable HDR mode → configure sensor in SDR mode.

  • Enable streaming.

  • Set white balance gains to 1.0 (unity), charModeEnabled = true, charModeExpNo = expNo, numActiveExposures = 1.
