New Features#
Base OS:
Updated Kernel version - Same major-minor, bug fixes and addressed CVEs
Updated dGPU driver version - Same major version, bug fixes
Updated to CUDA 12.6-based compute stack
Provide head-less & GUI-less BaseOS installation option via USB-C terminal
KVM option CONFIG_KVM enabled in Kernel (Not a full virtualization support. Does not support virtualizing GPU and other accelerators on IGX)
Secure boot support
BMC:
Improved WebUI
Improved User experience for Notifiaction and Firmware updates
Kernel Migration to 6.5
CX7, Orin and SMCU version display has been enabled
Known Issues#
Base OS:
More than 48 decode streams of h265 videos causes XID errors on RTX A6000.
The Realtek 8168 driver does not work when the kernel command line option ‘pcie_bus_perf’ is specified. The Ethernet interface will no longer get an IP address.
Some Vulkan features are not supported on dGPU.
When installing BaseOS for iGPU in some cases the installer will not automatically reboot the system after finshing the installation. A manual restart must be initiated.
dGPU ECC mode will not persist after reboot.
GPU driver 535 prevents settings for separate x-screens and xinerama from working. This will be fixed in future IGX SW releases.
Argus Camera image capture application loads libnvjpeg after libjpeg which causes struct mismatch error. This can be avoided by using ‘export LD_PRELOAD=/usr/lib/aarch64-linux-gnu/nvidia/libnvjpeg.so’ See Argus Camera Image Capture Failure for more information.
IGX may not be able to connect to Wifi if two access points advertise the same SSID.
Argus samples/applications will not work with Bajoran+DualIMX274.
Faded colors in preview with Bajoran+DualIMX274.
Potential boot failure. See Boot Failure for more information.
Pipelines using the nvv4l2decoder give error, “nvbufsurface: Failed to create EGLImage.” Use the default encoder to mitigate this problem.
Alternating exposure oscillation with argus_camera preview and blurring of colors in the color chart.
BMC:
The BMC will release separately going forward and will no longer be tracked in these release notes.
sensor crossed a critical high threshold going high
MCU:
The MCU will release separately going forward and will no longer be tracked in these release notes.
Fixed Issues#
Base OS:
System Deep Sleep(SC7) is not supported currently due to known software issues. It will be fixed in a future release.
If BaseOS was previously installed on the NVMe and gets installed on eMMC as well two identical UEFI Boot Manager entries will be present.
Resuming from S3 suspend may cause FPS drop on OGL applications with dGPUs.
When disconnecting and/or reconnecting Ethernet cables the Network Manager may delay notifications for these events by several minutes.
UEFI:
UEFI ASSERT [FvbNorFlashStandaloneMm] has been fixed.
BMC:
BMC WebUI shows correct MCU version.
