Gst-nvbufsurfacewrite

View as Markdown

The Gst-nvbufsurfacewrite plugin is an in-place debug utility that writes frames from incoming NVMM NvBufSurface buffers to raw NV12, RGBA, or BGRx files, while allowing the buffer to continue downstream unmodified. It uses gpu-id to select the CUDA device used for the device-to-host copy. Each output file is named from the element’s instance name and the frame number, with an extension matching the buffer’s format (for example <element-name><frame-num>.nv12).

Inputs and Outputs

  • Inputs

    • GStreamer buffer containing an NVMM NvBufSurface frame (NV12, RGBA, or BGRx)
  • Control parameters

    • gpu-id, selects the GPU used for the device-to-host copy
    • silent, suppresses verbose console output
  • Output

    • The same GStreamer buffer, unmodified, passed through to the next element
    • One raw image file per frame written to disk

The following table summarizes the features of the plugin.
